This book is excellent for understanding health from a chiropractic perspective.
Written simply and clearly this book explains foundational principles about
the body and health.
Chiropractic Philosophy
By Dr. Joseph Strauss
Chiropractic is an art a science and a philosophy. The philosophy of chiropractic
is the basis, the why, in chiropractic, as well as something that is truly
unique in health care. This book is really a textbook for chiropractors, but
is so well done and well written it can be for anyone trying to further their
understanding of chiropractic.

All I can say is that if you have not read it you should read it, and if you
have read it, read it again.
Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical
Challenge to Evolution
By Michael Behe
This book is an eye opener, and has been considered by some to be controversial.
It does a good job of explaining, in a scientific way, the idea that the complexity
we see in living things, does not lend itself to a theory of randomness and
accident but one of design.
McDougall’s Medicine: A Challenging Second Opinion
By Dr. John McDougall
This book is basically a nutritional program. It is well researched and I found
it very informative, logical and helpful. It does an excellent job of explaining
the research about how what we eat can affect our health. It will give you
a lot to think about. It is a classic 15+ years old, but is still excellent.
